Services that we provide

At Zara Immigration Services we provide variety of services related to immigration and citizenship in Canada. From answering your basic questions about your applications to guide you through very complex parts of your application process, we have solutions to your problems.

Permanent Resident Card

Permanent resident cards are generally valid for up to five years, although in some cases they can expire after one year. You may remain a permanent resident even if your card expires, as loss of PR status is not automatic. The PR Card renewal process takes about 65 days, however, sometimes it can be a little longer. To avoid having an expired Permanent Resident Card, renew your PR card and submit your complete application at least six months before expiration.

PR Card Regular Renewal

You should apply for a PR card renewal if your card has expired or will expire in under nine months. You should also apply in case of a lost, damaged, or stolen PR card. You can also apply if you didn’t receive your PR card within 180 days of immigrating to Canada, or you need to update your PR card for a legal name change, citizenship change, gender designation change, or to correct your birth date.

If you do not receive your PR card before you leave Canada or you are outside Canada without a valid PR card, you must apply for a permanent resident travel document.

PR Card Renewal on H&C grounds

A permanent resident who has not met the residency requirement can renew their PR card on humanitarian grounds if some exceptional circumstance has prevented them from residing in Canada. A renewal may also be made if the permanent resident has been working for a Canadian company abroad or has been accompanying a Canadian citizen spouse abroad.
